A few weeks ago I met up with my friend Olivier Carneiro in Lisbon, Portugal.
We talked about an idea he had after watching the Vacation Rental World Summit last year.
During our talks he suddenly mentioned a tool he just came across and my head started spinning…
I pictured how that tool could be used to add amazing value to his business. Needless to say, I shared my ‘epiphany’ with him and his head started spinning too…
Olivier owns 8 apartments in Lisbon, finished furnishing the ninth recently and he’s making a killing with Vacation Rentals.
He started out with just 1 unit a few years ago and like most of us, he’s smartly paved his way to success, expanding his rental business at a near to full occupancy rate all year round. Pretty amazing.
The # 1 Tool That Could Catapult Your Credibility To The Sky (And Drive A Lot More Bookings!)
In preparation for this year’s edition of the Vacation Rental World Summit, I want to share this awesome tip with you.
The tool I’m going to talk about now can be used to build your reputation as valued and trusted business to all future travelers surfing your site, increasing the amount of bookings you receive as a result of using it right!
And it’s completely free!
It’s called Vidrack and is basically a button you put anywhere you want to collect instant feedback from your guests, and not just ordinary feedback: Video feedback that gets instantly, securely and privately delivered to you and allows you to improve your rental business in many ways. Is your head spinning like mine did?
If not, let me give you one more hint:
The Second Most Important Influencer In Decision Making Online
Do you know what 70% of consumers worldwide trust as the second most important influencer in their decision making process after recommendations from people they know?
Consumer opinions posted online…that is, Reviews!

Why? Because they build trust, come from similar others we can easily relate to (like past guests), and are perceived as a reliable way to gain a fair amount of information and make the most objective, safest and best possible decision we can about our next buy, in this case about renting your property over many others.
Vidrack can become your instant Video Testimonial generator. You can view them privately and gain tremendous feedback in showing you were to improve, before they tell the world about it, maybe in a negative review.
You can take the ones raving about your property, get written permission to use them online and put them on your site and wherever you want to market your property (on Google+, on Facebook, and so on), to instantly boost your credibility, increase trust and drive more bookings.
It’s that simple yet incredibly powerful when it comes to building your ironclad reputation and your independence from listing sites.
I’ve been using Video Feedback from my guests for years now and I can tell you that it works like magic. The only problem was finding an easy way to collect them on the fly. Until today.
Put Yourself In Your Guest’s Shoes
Give Vidrack a try and do me a favor now, test it yourself and see the potential: click on the ‘Record Video’ button below and start recording your own video testimonial! Tell me how you feel about this idea!
If you watched the Vacation Rental World Summit last year tell me what your “a-ha” moment was, what your #1 takeaway was.
Tell me if and how it impacted your overall business performance so far.
If this is the first time you hear about the Vacation Rental World Summit instead and you haven’t watched it yet, tell me what is the biggest struggle you are facing with your property and what would you like to learn and we’ll do our best to get your struggle cleared at the Summit this year.
Now click on the Red ‘Record Video’ Button below and have some fun giving your first video feedback…it’s going to be a great exercise to put yourself in your guest’ shoes and experience what they feel like when you ask them to give you their feedback!
And by the way, you can use your mobile too and see how easy and cool Vidrack is.
Vidrack seems to be currently working on iOS operating system and Apple devices (iPhone-iPad-Mac) seamlessly, while there seem to be technical issues on PC and Android devices. We’ve passed the information on to Vidrack’s developer, so he can make it work seamlessly on any device.

Happy Vacation Rental Owners & Managers Say:
Antonio helped me turn my vacation rental property - Casita Sitges - into a profitable business. He has shifted my vacation rental knowledge from amateur to professional level. I achieved that through the two modules of the Fully Booked Formula training program he teaches and I attended online, through some individual consulting and through the design of the web for Casita Sitges (http://www.casitasitges.com)
Besides the subject matter of vacation rentals that he masters extremely well, Antonio has a very strong work ethic and he gets things done quickly sticking to the deadlines formerly agreed. I do recommend Antonio's work or products if you want to stand out from the crowd and you want to stretch your profits further.
Antonio is an excellent public speaker, trainer, and event organizer. I attended the Vacation Rental World Summit that he produced this year and it was a fantastic learning experience. I was very impressed with the high-tech applications he used for the event, the seamless delivery of every facet of the program, and the ultra-rich content that was provided by the experts who he invited to participate in the Summit. I gained scores of sales, marketing, and management tips that have already helped my vacation rental business, and I have been able to successfully apply some of what I learned to another one of my businesses, too. Before the end of the Summit I decided to purchase Antonio's Fully Booked Formula training program, and I am equally impressed with that. I look forward to whatever Antonio offers up next -- I am very sure that whatever it is, it will be exceptional.
Wow, thank you for putting together this wonderful resource of information and knowledge from the industry leaders to help all VR owners alike. What a line-up of events you had. Got on to watch the first sessions on day 1. Boy did I feel cheated, I wanted my guest/s to go home so I could continue to watch the video's but that was not an option. So I spent the whole weekend trying to get a minute to watch another 5 minutes. Anyway by the time they left Sunday night, I had managed to watch the first 2 sessions on day 1 and thought it was that good I just will have to buy the program.
I am SO glad to have come across your Vacation Rental World Summit - you have opened my eye to so many things!!! And I have to give you my thanks for introducing me to such valuable learning tools, gurus etc.
I absolutely loved the Vacation Rental World Summit this year and I am so happy to know that there will be another in 2015.
Kudos for your Summit. Very well done. Excellent seminar. Much to think about. Much to do. Because I'm new to taking a professional approach to managing my 3 properties in Guatemala, I have much to see, learn, and absorb. My notes make up a pile of paper 1/2 inch thick. I ran my computer out of ink, and finished off a brand new gel pen! Ten days ago I returned to Guatemala for the half year, and brought all those notes and copies with me. United Airlines was pleased too: $40 for the extra luggage. Still there is much to process and to implement in building my rental business. Again, Muchas Gracias Señor for this opportunity.

record video button didn’t work for me??? Just asked me to open a file!!
Sending feedback to Vidrack’s developer Ralph 🙂 Thanks for the heads up. Do you have any Apple device you may try that on? On iPhone and iPad for example you shuld have the prompt to start your video camera to record a video and when you’re done you can send it instantly to your host.
seems to work on ipad but not PC
Hey Ralph,
Please go to http://mailvu.com and test your webcam setup on your PC. If it doesn’t work on this page then you need to resolve your webcam issues. Also to submit videos you don’t need an account with Vidrack.com you just need to submit and record. I suggest testing your webcam setup, trying to record on a different device and ensure you have a stable internet connection. Thanks for you patience!
Ryan: works on my iPad. Camera on my PC works fine but not with your software. My internet connection is VERY stable
Did you test your webcam setup at http://mailvu.com ?
Thanks for your feedback Ralph! Its very helpful.
yes today it works!!! Not sure why today is Ok and not a few days ago, but…..!!
thanks
The magic of internet! 🙂
talking of magic [black!!] – got a nasty note when I tried to reply via click thru “Access denied. Your IP address [108.61.59.27] is blacklisted. If you feel this is in error please contact your hosting providers abuse department.”
Do you mean you got that warning, when you tried to reply in here, Ralph? If so, that’s scary. You were able to reply though, so I don’t really know what kind of magic is going on here (white, black?)
Yes I did [tried several times and got that warning] and was only able to make reply by going into Disqus from new window – but this time I replied normally via click thru. Go figure…it actually is quite worrying that my computer is possessed despite all my firewalls etc
yes, same here, from my mac it does not work…..but the idea is very cool! 🙂
Hi Antonio – as Ralph pointed out, did not work on the PC. I did just try my iPhone and the video shot, just now trying to “upload” but still sitting on 0%. If you get a video from me, then we’ll know it worked! Cheers – Matt
Thanks for the feedback, Matt, much appreciated! I did get a few videos from fellow peers trying it out, yet I’m sending feedback like yours and Ralph’s directly to Vidrack’s developer, so he might look into that and find what the issue may be. The idea is very cool and the tool has an awesome potential.
FYI, this is where I use it for my guests: https://casateulada.com/video-feedback/
Just recorded a test message from the iPhone, very cool, thanks for sharing already good stuff Antonio!
Glad it’s working on your iPhone Paola.
Hey everyone Its Ryan Co-Founder of Vidrack.com the recorder that is being used above. Our product does experience some issues on some mobile devices older than 1.5 years. Our product should work on all newer mainstream android devices using standard browsers. We do have issues with more unknown browsers. Our product does work on PC’s but because of the nature of desktop recording improper webcam setups or flash installation can cause issues. Your webcam may work fine on Skype but if flash isn’t installed then our recorder won’t work. As well recording can be affected by mobile signal and wifi signal. If you do experience problems recording please try a different device and/or browser. As well ensure you have a stable internet connection. Thanks a lot for trying our product. And Ill report the stated issues bellow to our developers and see if there is anything additional we can do on our end.
Thank you for chiming in, Ryan and for giving us more info on the use of Vidrack. I’ve read how lately Flash is being disabled on most browsers due to a recent bug in Adobe’s tool that could pose a high threat to users worldwide. So flash is being deprecated, in fact on Firefox and I guess Chrome it’s being uninstalled on their latest update. I don’t know if this is feasible, but maybe moving on to HTML5 could be the solution. Love Vidrack and been using it for a while now with good results, but of course there’s always room for improvement.
In summary Vidrack has issues with older devices, bad internet connections, improper webcam setups, no flash installation on desktop computers and strange browsers. Unfortunately we’re at the mercy of these issues and can only wait technology improvements in the infrastructure related to browser based video recording. Thanks for your support of Vidrack.com!
Latest Update: Seems Like Vidrack is now working fine on all devices. Please share comments if you still find it’s not.
